The cat tree that doesn't look like a cat tree

Cat trees have a reputation problem: they're either ugly or wobbly, sometimes both. The Felined is neither. A 60cm stable base, real sisal posts, plush perches in oak-and-cream — it's the first tree we've tested that an owner might choose for the room before the cat chooses it for the naps.

Stability, tested

We let a 6kg Maine coon launch himself at the top perch from across the room. The base shifted 2cm on hardwood and stayed upright. Most sub-£100 trees wobble enough to scare the cat off after one attempt.

Why cats use every level

Cheaper trees cluster everything at the top. The Felined spaces the perches so a cat can climb, pause, survey, and retreat to the cubby — which is why our test cat used three of four levels within the first afternoon.
