Cats are chronically under-hydrated — they're descended from desert animals and don't reliably drink still water. A fountain helps, but most plastic fountains get slimy fast and the pumps hum. The AquaPaw fixes both: a stainless tank you can actually sanitise, and a submersible pump that's quieter than a fridge.
We deliberately let a fountain run uncleaned for three weeks (don't tell the cat). The AquaPaw came apart into seven pieces, every one wipeable, with no hidden channels where biofilm could hide. A plastic fountain we tested alongside had to be thrown out.
Within two days, our test cat was visiting the fountain four times a day versus twice at a bowl. The moving water is the draw; the stainless is what keeps it safe.
