A small team of pet parents who got tired of bad recommendations
We're editors and lifelong pet owners who wanted a pet-product site that behaves like a real publication: research thoroughly, compare honestly, and say clearly what we know and how we know it.
Our story
Pawstimate began with a familiar experience: buy the highly-rated product, watch the pet ignore it, move on. The recommendations we read felt like press releases. The five-star averages felt like noise. Nobody seemed to be doing the boring work of comparing what's actually in a product, what owners report a month later, and what the veterinary guidance actually says.
So we built the site we wanted to read: structured evaluations, honest drawbacks, clear 'who this is for' notes, and a clean separation between how we earn and what we recommend.
Our independence policy
Affiliate commissions fund our work but never influence rankings. Payout rates are excluded from scoring entirely, and we routinely rank products that pay us nothing above ones that pay well. Brands cannot sponsor, preview or veto coverage. When two products tie on merit, the cheaper one is listed first — even when it pays less. Trust compounds faster than referral fees decay, and it's the entire business model.
