About Pawstimate
A small team of pet parents who got tired of bad recommendations
We're editors, trainers and lifelong pet owners who wanted a pet-product site that behaves like a real publication — buy the thing, live with it, recommend it only if it survives.

Our story
Pawstimate began when three pet parents — a senior-dog carer, a foster volunteer and a first-time cat owner — got tired of the same experience: buy the highly-rated product, watch the pet ignore it, move on. The recommendations we read felt like press releases. The five-star averages felt like noise.
We decided readers deserved the kind of boring-but-thorough testing that real publications do: buy retail, live with the product, check it against current veterinary guidance, and publish only what survives a month of real life with a real pet.
Our independence policy
Affiliate commissions fund our work but never influence rankings. When brands offer samples for a first look, we accept only sometimes and always say so — and we buy our own unit before a final recommendation. When two products tie on merit, we list the cheaper one first, even when it pays us less. Trust compounds faster than referral fees decay, and it's the entire business model.
