Our verdict
The bowl that lives in your pocket
A travel bowl you don't carry is a travel bowl that doesn't get used. The MightyPaw collapses flat enough to forget about until you need it, and the leak-resistant rim means a half-full water bowl doesn't soak your bag on the walk back to the car.
The leak test
We filled one to the brim and walked a kilometre. A few drops escaped the rim, but the bowl held its water where every cheap silicone bowl we'd tried before emptied into the bag. The difference is a firmer silicone compound and a rolled rim.
Two is the right number
Food and water, or one for each of two dogs. The carabiner clip means they live on the leash handle, not at the bottom of a rucksack.
About this pick
COLLAPSES TO 1.5cm thick — fits in a jacket pocket, glovebox or side pocket of a backpack
LEAK-RESISTANT RIM means a full water bowl survives being carried back to the car
FOOD-GRADE PLATINUM-CURED SILICONE, no plastic smell, no BPA
DISHWASHER SAFE and freezeable — also doubles as a slow feeder when half-collapsed
TWO-PACK for food + water, with a slim carabiner clip for attaching to a leash
A soft carrier that fits under the seat, breathes from three sides, and survived our crash-sled test without the seams opening. The one we'd actually fly with.
A no-pull harness that fits without chafing, reflects at night and clips at both the front and back. The harness our pull-tester finally stopped fighting.
